Job summary

AECOM in the UK Energy team is seeking engineers to develop and deliver grid connection services across the UK and Ireland. You will work on power system studies, grid code compliance, and due diligence for grid connections, supporting bids and client liaison.

The role offers hybrid working from London Aldgate Tower with exposure to major Power & Energy clients and diverse projects across life cycles from siting to commissioning.

Qualifications

• Experience in power systems and grid connection studies.
• Ability to perform grid code compliance studies.
• Experience supporting bids and client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical design delivery through power system studies.
• Perform grid code compliance studies with PowerFactory, PSCAD, PSS/E.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.
• Conduct grid prospecting and risk/constraint assessments.
• Develop cost estimates and technical effort estimates.
• Support quality control reviews of designs/drawings.
• Prepare technical specification sections.
• Contribute to budgets and schedules for projects.
• Liaise with OEMs and clients to drive outcomes.
• Assist with bids and proposals.
