AECOM is seeking a skilled Grid Connection Engineer to drive electrical design and grid studies across UK and Ireland. You will work within our Energy team on diverse renewable projects, using PSCAD, PowerFactory, and PSS/E to ensure grid connection compliance and robust engineering outputs.

You will collaborate with OEMs and clients, contribute to bids, and help shape budgets and schedules while delivering innovative, safe, and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Experience with engineering design consultancy or OEM/utility network planning is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of transmission and distribution planning and customer connection processes.

Responsabilités

• Support electrical design through power system studies.
• Perform grid code compliance studies using PSCAD, PowerFactory and PSS/E.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary project reviews and bid/proposal input.
• Develop grid connection due diligence including prospecting and capacity assessments.
• Prepare technical specification sections and input to budgets and schedules.
