Job summary

Marsh in the United Kingdom invites applications for a Pensions Actuarial Consultant to support DB pension schemes on a nationwide basis. You will join a team delivering customised advice to trustees and corporates, working across funding, investment, risk transfer and covenant to bring robust solutions.

Key responsibilities include leading client meetings, presenting insights, reviewing actuarial calculations and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Actuary or nearing qualification.
• Excellent communication, analytical and numerical skills with strong pension knowledge.
• Ability to manage projects and allocate work to junior colleagues.
• Understanding of how UK pension schemes operate.

Responsibilities

• Lead client meetings and presentations.
• Provide informed views on topics based on client circumstances, and tailor advice.
• Utilise strong actuarial skills to consult on technical topics.
• Communicate clearly with clients.
• Act as final technical reviewer for actuarial calculations.
• Agree strategy, direction and resourcing for client work.
• Supervise, appraise and mentor staff where applicable.
