Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Senior Pensions Actuarial Consultant to join our Nationwide team. You will lead client meetings, provide tailored actuarial advice, and review complex calculations for defined benefit schemes.

The role emphasizes collaboration across funding, investment, risk transfer and covenant, with mentoring responsibilities and opportunities to shape client strategy while managing fees and budgets.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified actuary with UK pension scheme experience.
• Strong communication, analytical and numerical skills.
• Ability to manage projects and mentor juniors.
• Understanding of UK pension scheme operation models.

Responsibilities

• Lead client meetings and presentations.
• Provide an informed view on topics based on client circumstances and tailor advice.
• Utilise strong actuarial skills to consult with clients on technical topics.
• Communicate with clients clearly and succinctly.
• Act as final technical reviewer for actuarial calculations.
• Agree the strategy, direction and resourcing for client work.
• Mentor colleagues and supervise junior staff where applicable.
