Job summary

Capita Pension Solutions seeks a Senior Communications Consultant to shape and deliver pensions communications for clients, including government stakeholders. You will lead on strategic comms, manage relationships, and collaborate with creative and data teams to produce high-quality outputs.

You will mentor junior staff, oversee multi-channel campaigns, and ensure work is delivered within budget and timescales, maintaining governance and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior communications role within DB pensions or financial services.
• Strategic thinking and leadership in communications planning and delivery.
• Exceptional copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
• Experience managing budgets and revenue targets.
• Experience of the bid process and writing commercial proposals.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead client relationships at senior levels and with government stakeholders.
• Deliver high-quality communications consulting and outputs within agreed fees.
• Write and edit copy for varied channels to meet objectives.
• Peer review content for pensions technical accuracy.
• Oversee multi-channel campaigns ensuring alignment with client objectives and standards.
• Champion processes, QA, data handling, and project governance.
• Line manage and mentor communications consultants and contractors.
• Build relationships with clients, suppliers and internal teams.
• Collaborate with creative, digital and data teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Support heads of and lead consultants in project delivery.
• Develop production schedules and secure resources to deliver on time and budget.
• Monitor costs and maximise revenue opportunities with the client.
