Hyper Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Senior Scientist, PBPK, with expertise in Biopharmaceutics Modelling & Simulation to join a leading pharmaceutical company in Kent. The role supports drug development across all stages by applying mechanistic modelling to predict in vivo performance and optimise formulations.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biopharmaceutics, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacometrics, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in PBPK, PBBM, pharmacometrics, mechanistic modelling, or model-informed drug development.
• Experience with PBPK/PBBM modelling software such as Simcyp, GastroPlus, PK-Sim, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of oral absorption, dissolution, permeability, biopharmaceutics, and pharmacokinetics.

Responsibilities

• Develop, verify, and apply PBBM and PBPK models using platforms such as Simcyp, GastroPlus, or equivalent software.
• Support prediction of oral absorption, food effects, bioavailability, formulation bridging, and dissolution.
• Calibrate models, perform sensitivity analyses, scenario testing, and uncertainty assessments.
• Collaborate with laboratory scientists to design in vitro studies supporting model development.
• Support development of dissolution methods and in vitro–in vivo links.
• Communicate modelling outcomes through reports, team presentations, regulatory documents, and publications.
• Contribute to advancing modelling methodologies, automation, and AI/ML-enabled tools.
