Job summary

Hyper Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Scientist, PBPK with expertise in Biopharmaceutics Modelling & Simulation to join a leading Pharmaceutical company in Kent. You will apply mechanistic modelling to predict in vivo drug performance and support formulation development.

Based in a multidisciplinary team, you will work with biopharmaceutics, formulation development, clinical pharmacology and PK scientists to inform decision making and regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in pharmaceutical sciences or related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in PBPK, PBBM, pharmacometrics, or model-informed drug development.
• Strong understanding of oral absorption, dissolution, permeability and PK.
• Experience with PBPK/PBBM software (Simcyp, GastroPlus, PK-Sim).
• Proven ability to apply modelling to pharmaceutical development challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop, verify and apply PBBM and PBPK models using platforms such as Simcyp, GastroPlus, or equivalent software.
• Support prediction of oral absorption, food effects, bioavailability, dissolution and IVIVC links.
• Perform model calibration, sensitivity analyses, scenario testing and uncertainty assessments.
• Collaborate with lab scientists to design and interpret in vitro studies for model development.
• Support development of dissolution methods and in vitro–in vivo links.
• Communicate modelling outcomes through technical reports and regulatory documents.
• Contribute to advancing modelling methodologies and AI/ML-enabled predictive tools.
