Job summary

Devon Partnership Trust seeks a Bank Band 7 Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to deliver high-quality paediatric SLT in community settings across pathways. You will assess, treat and evaluate complex cases, supporting families and carers and contributing to service governance and training for SLTs within the Trust.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, manage risk, and promote evidence-based practice while adhering to safeguarding and professional standards.

Qualifications

• BSc or Diploma in Speech and Language and state registration with HCPC.
• Evidence of CPD with recent postgraduate courses relevant to paediatric SLT.
• Postgraduate leadership certificate and MSc in a relevant area are desirable.
• Membership of a professional body and current safeguarding knowledge are expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist SLT assessment and intervention for a caseload of complex paediatric cases.
• Screen and triage referrals, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in community settings.
• Contribute to risk assessment and care planning with families and carers.
• Case manage a caseload of children and young people with highly complex needs.
• Provide expert guidance and training to SLTs across designated pathways.
