Job summary

A leading healthcare institution in Kettering is seeking a motivated and experienced audiologist to enhance their audiology service. The successful candidate will perform audiological testing on children, lead clinics, and assist with adult assessment when necessary. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to explain results sensitively to parents. This is a pivotal position within a dynamic team, contributing to the advancement of the Audiology Department.

Qualifications

• Experienced audiologist capable of performing audiological testing on children.
• Proficient in explaining results to parents with empathy.
• Familiarity with both objective testing methods and rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audiological testing for children aged 6 months to 18 years.
• Lead Visual Reinforcement clinics and make clinical decisions.
• Perform verification and validation of children’s hearing aid fittings.
• Assist with assessments and rehabilitation for adults when needed.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join our audiology service. You should be a motivated and experienced audiologist who is keen to develop your skills and help advance the Audiology Department at Kettering General Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Perform age-appropriate audiological testing on children from 6 months to 18 years.
• Lead in Visual Reinforcement clinics, making clinical decisions based on results.
• Perform paediatric habilitative verification and validation for children’s hearing aid fittings.
• Explain results to parents/carers in a clear and sensitive manner with empathy.
• Assist with adult assessment and rehabilitation where necessary, including direct referrals, fittings, repairs and ENT cover.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Motivated and experienced audiologist.
• Experience in objective testing methods would be welcome.
