Job summary

Scottish Power Transmissions is recruiting a Lead P&C Design Engineer to join their Cambuslang team on a contract basis. The role specialises in Protection & Control for transmission networks (132kV+), delivering detailed engineering designs and specifications while upholding safety, quality and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include defining requirements for input to SCA and BETTA documentation, engineering design of protection systems, network automation and substation controls, plus

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering with relevant experience.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
• Ability to promote CDM and Health & Safety best practice in design.
• Experience with protection and control concepts for substations.

Responsibilities

• Define protection and control design requirements for input to SCA and BETTA documentation.
• Engineer basic and detailed designs for networks, protection systems, network automation, and substation controls.
• Provide technical consultancy across projects and support the delivery team.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and liaise with multi-disciplines.
