MCS Cleaning & Maintenance Limited is seeking an Operations Manager – Commercial Cleaning to lead and develop the Midlands-based operations. You’ll work closely with Directors to shape growth, improve cleaning standards and implement new technologies across sites.

The role offers a competitive £40,000–£50,000 salary, a company car, laptop and mobile phone, plus private health cover and direct access to Directors. A senior, people-focused role in a values-driven firm awaits your leadership.

Qualifications

• Operational management experience in commercial cleaning or facilities management.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and ability to pass an enhanced DBS check.
• Relocation willingness or within commuting distance (East Midlands).
• Ambition to build a long-term career with the company.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop our team of Area Managers.
• Ensure each site is cleaned to specification, on time, every day.
• Take on new contracts from the Projects Manager and drive standards from there.
• Be the senior operational contact for key clients, including academy trusts and multi-site accounts.
• Keep contracts profitable by managing labour hours and site budgets.
• Bring fresh ideas, trial new technology and roll out what works.
• Maintain ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards with the Compliance lead.
