Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Senior Network Planner - Resilience to lead the development and delivery of resilience, emergency and severe weather response plans. You will guide practices, align processes with intelligence insights and drive improvements for customer benefit.

The role is hybrid, based from Bristol or Exeter, and requires travel with a driving licence and no more than 3 points. Collaborating with regional operations and external partners, you will minimise service impact and

Qualifications

• Experience leading resilience, emergency and severe weather response plans.
• Develop processes and procedures adopting best practice and insights.
• Civil Contingency Act 2004 knowledge is desirable.
• Strong communications and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively analysing the effectiveness of existing plans and implementing improvements.
• Provide advice to minimise impact to Operations during emergencies.
• Develop and recommend best practice methods for ongoing process improvement.
• Liaise with regional Operations and external stakeholders to minimise event impact.
• Manage Network Resilience funding and prioritise schemes.
