Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Senior Network Planner - Resilience to lead resilience, emergency and severe weather response planning. The role combines leadership, process development and advisory support to minimise operational impact during incidents.

Based in a hybrid setup with Bristol or Exeter as base, the role requires driving where needed and a clean driving record (no more than 3 points). You will engage with regional teams, local authorities and resilience forums to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Experience leading resilience, contingency and business continuity planning.
• Strong communications and stakeholder management skills.
• Desirable knowledge of Civil Contingencies Act 2004.
• Willingness to drive and meet driving-licence requirement (≤3 points).

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of resilience, emergency and severe weather response plans.
• Develop and improve processes and procedures, adopting best practice and insights.
• Liaise with regional Operations, local authorities and resilience forums to minimise impact of events.
• Manage Network Resilience funding and coordinate with service providers on schemes.
• Provide advisory support to minimize operational impact during incidents.
