Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Senior Network Planner - Resilience to lead the development and delivery of resilience, emergency and severe weather response plans across England's road network. The role requires guiding processes, adopting best practice and leveraging intelligence insights to protect customers.

This hybrid role is based from Bristol or Exeter, with travel as needed to liaison with regional teams and external partners, and a requirement to drive with no more than 3 points on your

Qualifications

• Civil Contingencies Act 2004 knowledge (desirable).
• Experience creating and developing response plans with debriefs (desirable).
• Ability to implement crisis management procedures and policies.
• Strong communications and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of resilience, emergency and severe weather response plans.
• Develop processes and procedures adopting best practice and insights.
• Advise to minimise impact to Operations during emergencies.
• Liaise with regional colleagues and external stakeholders to minimise impact.
• Manage Network Resilience funding and identify schemes.
• Analyze effectiveness of plans and drive continuous improvements.
