Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior/Principal Mechanical Engineer to join the Water team in the UK. You will lead mechanical delivery for water resource projects from feasibility through to delivery, mentor developing engineers, and work with multidisciplinary teams and clients to create sustainable, innovative solutions.

The role offers hybrid working, opportunities to influence major national projects, and a clear path for technical leadership and progression within a renowned engineering

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered or Incorporated status with IMechE or equivalent, or ability to become chartered within 12 months.
• Proven experience in multidisciplinary projects and leading technical delivery in water sector or transferable field.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of mechanical engineering solutions for water resource projects across the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, sustainable engineering solutions.
• Provide technical guidance, support and assurance to engineers and technicians; mentor and coach junior staff.
• Develop and review technical reports, calculations, specifications, drawings and design packages to ensure high quality delivery.
• Build relationships with project teams, clients and stakeholders and contribute to innovation and value creation.
• Support growth of mechanical engineering capability within the practice through knowledge sharing and coaching.
