Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Water team in the UK. You will lead mechanical delivery for water resource projects, mentor engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable outcomes for major infrastructure clients.

The role offers hybrid working with three office/site days per week and a clear path for career progression within a global engineering services organization.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered or Incorporated status with IMechE or ability to become chartered within 12 months.
• Proven multidisciplinary project delivery experience in water or transferable sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering delivery for water resource projects across all lifecycle stages.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated, sustainable solutions.
• Provide technical guidance, support, and mentorship to engineers and technicians.
• Develop and review technical reports, calculations, specifications, drawings and design packages.
• Build strong relationships with project teams, clients, stakeholders and partners.
• Contribute to innovation and adoption of new technologies.
• Identify opportunities to create value for clients and communities.
