AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior or Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical delivery on water resource projects across the UK, with a focus on sustainable and innovative solutions. Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered or Incorporated status with IMechE or ability to become chartered within 12 months.
• Proven experience leading technical delivery in multidisciplinary project environments (water sector or transferable background).
• Strong communication and team leadership skills, collaborative problem solving.
• Commitment to innovation, sustainability and technical excellence.
• Experience in design integration of mechanical equipment (pumps, blowers, screens, dosing systems).

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery on mechanical engineering solutions for water resource projects through all stages of the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated, sustainable, and innovative engineering solutions.
• Provide technical guidance, support, and assurance to engineers and technicians, mentoring and coaching team members.
• Develop and review technical reports, calculations, specifications, drawings and design packages for high-quality delivery.
• Build strong relationships with project teams, clients, stakeholders and partners.
• Contribute to innovation, continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies.
• Identify opportunities to create additional value for clients and communities.

Education

Degree in Mechanical Engineering
