Job summary

Black & Veatch in the UK is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to support design and engineering for nuclear power facility infrastructure. Based in London or Glasgow, you will work within multidisciplinary teams delivering plant systems and upgrades.

You will design mechanical infrastructure, produce calculations and documentation, and ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance across projects. Travel is occasional, and you must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Chartered Engineer status, or progress towards registration, preferred.
• Legal right to work in the UK is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems and infrastructure for nuclear facilities.
• Develop solutions for modifications, upgrades and plant improvement.
• Produce calculations, specifications, reports and schedules.
• Coordinate interfaces across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Ensure designs meet technical, safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and participate in design reviews.
• Support site surveys and client meetings as needed.
