Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and deliver essential mechanical infrastructure for nuclear facilities. The role covers plant systems, equipment, piping and utilities, with office work in Glasgow or London and occasional project visits.

You will join multidisciplinary teams, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and provide technical guidance while supporting project budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Chartered Engineer status or progression toward registration is preferred.
• Legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems and infrastructure for new and existing nuclear facilities.
• Develop solutions for modifications, upgrades and plant improvement.
• Produce calculations, specs, reports and equipment schedules.
• Coordinate interfaces across engineering disciplines.
• Mentor and guide less experienced engineers.
• Support site surveys and client meetings.
