Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the design and delivery of nuclear infrastructure across the UK and internationally. Based in Glasgow or London, you will work within multidisciplinary teams on safety-critical facilities, with occasional travel to project locations.

The role requires experience in reinforced concrete, steel structures, foundations and seismic-resistant systems, and a strong focus on quality and client interface.

Qualifications

• Experience designing infrastructure for nuclear facilities or similar safety-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of design assurance and quality processes.
• Ability to interface with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design of nuclear and safety-critical facilities.
• Develop concepts from feasibility to detailed design.
• Deliver reinforced concrete and steel designs for buildings and plant structures.
• Produce calculations, reports, and specifications.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
• Mentor developing engineers and manage deliverables.
