Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to support the design and delivery of nuclear infrastructure across the UK and internationally. You will lead structural design for safety-critical facilities, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor engineers. Office-based with some travel to project sites.

Based in Glasgow or London, you will work on nuclear new-build and plant modification projects, ensuring safety, quality and compliance throughout the design lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience coordinating across mechanical, civil, electrical and instrumentation teams.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor developing engineers.

Responsibilities

• Leading structural design of nuclear and safety-critical facilities.
• Developing structural concepts from feasibility to detailed design.
• Delivering reinforced concrete and steel designs for buildings and plant structures.
• Producing structural calculations, reports and specifications.
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
