Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Engineering Design Manager to lead multi-disciplinary design across major infrastructure projects. You will ensure buildability, compliance and innovation, guiding design from concept through delivery and coordinating with clients, contractors and internal teams.

With a strong background in mechanical or building services engineering, Chartered status is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience managing design through the full project lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of integrated design delivery and consultant performance.
• Experience with BIM and common data environments (CDE).
• Degree in engineering (Mechanical or Building Services).
• Chartered Engineer status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary design teams and manage design interfaces.
• Ensure designs are buildable, compliant, innovative and efficient.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers and contractors on issues and changes.
• Drive development of sustainable, practical engineering solutions.
• Embed health, safety and environmental considerations across designs.
