An independent dealership in Ebford is seeking a Senior Diagnostic Technician to perform repairs and maintenance on commercial vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, a full UK driving license, and at least 6 years of technical experience. This full-time role offers a salary range of GBP50,000 - GBP60,000 per annum, with working hours from Monday to Friday, plus alternate Saturdays.

Experienced in diagnostics and looking for a change? This opportunity is to join our small team within this busy independent dealership based on Marsh Barton. We are looking to recruit a Senior Diagnostic Technician to support our sales, warranty work and service our customers' vehicles. You will work on all makes and models of diesel and LCV vehicles. Your expertise and knowledge will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting repairs and maintenance on various types of commercial vehicles.
  • Diagnosing faults along with some basic servicing, brakes, cambelts etc.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues
  • Assembling and disassembling equipment as needed
  • Performing routine inspections to identify potential problems
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure efficient operations
Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to lift heavy objects as required
  • Welding experience is preferred but not required
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities

Role Details
  • Type: Full-time
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00 with 30 minutes for lunch; Alternate Saturdays 08:00 - 12:00
  • Salary: GBP50,000 - GBP60,000 per annum (up to GBP60,000 per year)
  • Location: Exeter EX2 – reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
