Job summary

Davies is seeking a Senior Manager in the Claims Management team to oversee a portfolio of High Net Worth, Major Loss and complex property claims, including subsidence and escape of oil. You will lead technically challenging losses from notification to settlement, working with policyholders, insurers and brokers, while pursuing ACILA/FCILA qualifications where possible.

DescriptionWe’re looking for a talented Senior Manager to join our specialist team, managing a varied portfolio of High Net Worth, Major Loss and complex property claims, including subsidence and escape of oil. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of technically challenging losses and delivering an exceptional service from first notification through to settlement. You’ll work closely with policyholders, insurers, brokers and other key stakeholders, building strong relationships while ensuring every claim is proactively progressed and handled to the highest technical standards. We’re looking for someone with a proven background in general property and High Net Worth adjusting, with Major Loss experience particularly desirable. You’ll be confident working independently, managing demanding caseloads and appointment schedules, and producing high-quality reports and correspondence. Progress towards ACILA, FCILA or another relevant professional qualification would also be welcomed. What will your day look like:

To carry out the loss adjusting of High Net Worth, Major Loss and other complex claims including subsidence and escape of oil.

Duties and responsibilities:

• To handle claims in line with company requirements and particularly the demanding service standards of M&CLU clients
• To ensure key performance indicator targets are reached and maintained
• To actively progress and control all cases
• Understand and effectively implement Company systems and procedures
• Understand Individual client requirements
• Ensure technical accuracy of the highest standard
• Produce high quality personalised outgoing correspondence
• Handle customers effectively and fairly in line with HNW insurers requirements
• Be flexible at all times and able to accommodate demanding appointment schedules
• Action all work in line with company and client requirements
• Build effective relationships with clients, brokers and others
• Communicate regularly with all interested parties
• Produce reports of highest quality
• Work within a team environment to achieve best results either on individual losses or group results
• Interact with existing clients to maintain and further existing relations and procure new business
• Utilisation of other Davies Group businesses for the benefit of policyholders
• To be on call 1 week in 3 for OOH calls from one specific Client

Knowledge and Abilities:

• Required to have previous experience within a similar role
• To be at least progressing towards or completion of ACILA , FCILA or other professional qualifications a preference
• Top quality interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
• Dependability and persistence are essential
• Proven track record of general property adjusting and high net worth.
• Experience of major losses is preferable
• Completely flexible approach and adaptable to changing priorities
• Accustomed to working under pressure in a fast pace, demanding environment
• Full, clean driving license required
