Job summary

Hoot Recruit LTD in Frodsham, Cheshire, is seeking a Senior IT Technician to own day-to-day IT within a site-based environment. This role blends hands-on IT support, infrastructure, networking and cyber security to protect systems and data on site.

You'll provide 1st-3rd line support, manage Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Entra ID, and oversee endpoint protection, backups and disaster recovery. A true IT generalist opportunity with broad scope.

Qualifications

• Hands-on IT generalist with breadth across IT support, infrastructure and security.
• Experience in SME/manufacturing/onsite environments is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and protect systems and data.
• Strong communication skills to explain security concepts to non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on 1st, 2nd and where required 3rd-line IT support.
• Own day-to-day IT issues across the business.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Entra ID; manage access controls.
• Support Intune/MDM, endpoint management and device security.
• Maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices and printers.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP, switches and VPNs.
• Support Windows Server and broader IT infrastructure; oversee security patches and antivirus.
• Identify and respond to cyber security risks and incidents.
