Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an experienced deskside/onsite IT support engineer to ensure smooth operation of hardware, software, and network services at site locations in the UK. You will handle printers, rugged devices, and user devices, while coordinating with OT teams to minimize downtime.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, client communication, and documentation skills, with on-call and possible travel to other sites. On-site work with a global tech leader.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7yrs hands-on deskside/onsite IT support experience.
• Strong Windows and macOS troubleshooting and deployment skills.
• Experience with SCCM, Intune, AD, and JAMF.
• Familiar with OT technology such as PLCs and shopfloor IT.

Responsibilities

• Setup and troubleshoot printers, scanners, and Rugged devices at offices and shopfloor.
• Provide frontline IT support for desktops, laptops, mobiles, and peripherals on site.
• Lead issue resolution with IT/OT teams to minimise downtime.
• Maintain data closets and perform daily health checks on critical infrastructure.
• Document processes and create KB articles for day-to-day operations.
