Job summary

Demelza is seeking a Senior IT Technician to join our IT team in Kent. You will be the technical escalation point, resolving complex issues and overseeing day-to-day Service Desk activity while mentoring a colleague and supporting infrastructure, security, applications and modern workplace projects.

You will help keep systems, devices, networks and cloud services secure, reliable and running across Kent, South East London and East Sussex, with travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with second- and third-line IT support.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, AD, Intune and Windows endpoints.
• Willingness to travel across multiple Demelza sites and hold a driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Own complex incidents through to resolution, coordinating colleagues and suppliers as needed.
• Prioritise Service Desk activity, improve ticket quality and keep users informed.
• Investigate recurring issues, identify root causes and document lasting fixes.
• Coach and mentor other IT staff to share knowledge across the team.
• Support and administer Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, Windows endpoints, servers, SharePoint and remote access.
• Troubleshoot networks, firewalls, switches, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi and IP connectivity.
• Strengthen patch management, device compliance, MFA and Conditional Access.
• Contribute to technical projects, migrations, testing and go-live activities.
• Identify opportunities for automation, standardisation and service improvement.
