Job summary

Emplyfy is seeking an experienced Technical Systems Engineer to join a high-tech organisation providing managed IT services. You will work across technical support, infrastructure, and client-site maintenance, owning issues until resolution.

You will manage incidents, monitor environments, and coordinate with partners while ensuring service levels are met and documentation is kept up to date.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience in a relevant IT role.
• Experience with Cyber Essentials and GDPR security standards.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 apps and cloud services (Email, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
• Experience with Intune, RMM platforms and telephone systems.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure (routers, switches, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, VLANs).
• Ability to coordinate with external technology partners and service providers.
• Familiarity with IT industry standards, processes and best-practice procedures.
• Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, including Group Policy and security configuration.
• Azure administration and implementation.
• Windows 10/11 and Mac environments; imaging and deployment.
• Strong customer service and clear written/verbal communication.
• Independent troubleshooting and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical contact for customers and provide effective solutions.
• Attend customer premises to diagnose faults and carry out maintenance.
• Manage support cases and service requests using the Service Desk platform.
• Keep customers informed throughout the support process per SLAs.
• Escalate significant incidents requiring Management intervention.
• Review daily priorities and manage workload to complete actions.
• Monitor condition and performance of customer environments to meet business needs.
• Carry out installation, configuration, testing, maintenance and repair of hardware and software.
• Keep technical records, tickets and documentation up to date.
• Take ownership of urgent/high-priority incidents, remote or on-site.
