Job summary

Daisy Communications, re-branded as part of the O2 Business family, is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement and manage robust IT infrastructure across internal and hosted systems. You will tackle complex integration projects with a focus on security, cloud, and reliability from our Cheadle base.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and related systems.
• Experience with VMware/Hyper-V deployment and troubleshooting.
• Strong general system administration skills (OS, hardware, virtualization).
• Experience in infrastructure security (firewalls/AV).
• Advanced knowledge of AD/DHCP/DNS/GPO.
• Experience with Windows Server 2012r2–2022 and backups like Rubrik/DPM.
• Cloud experience with AWS/Azure.
• Microsoft 365 experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and assist with the Daisy standalone IT infrastructure.
• Design, support & optimise physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure.
• Work with external networking, infrastructure and support teams.
• Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, services, settings, directories, storage, etc.
• Research and recommend automated approaches for system administration tasks.
• Document server procedures and configurations for design and implementation.
• Monitor systems, verify availability and integrity of servers and processes.
• Act as escalation point for deskside support team.
• Mentor junior IT team members.
• Respond to Cyber Security Alerts.
