Job summary

Aspirecom is seeking a 3rd Line IP Network Engineer in London, operating in a hybrid model. You will own senior incident resolution, multi-vendor troubleshooting, and upgrades across IP networks, MPLS, and SD-WAN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a Service Desk or NOC in ISP/MSP/SME environments.
• Hands-on expertise in enterprise IP networking, MPLS architectures, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
• Experience with multi-vendor security and networking hardware (Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet/Meraki).
• SD-WAN, managed firewall configurations, and VPN connectivity experience.
• Analytical, stakeholder management, and customer-facing communication skills.
• UK residency and ability to commute to London for hybrid work.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level 3rd line support and escalation governance across complex enterprise IP networks.
• Manage and resolve complex tickets and incidents covering SD-WAN, LAN/WAN, firewalls, and wireless.
• Troubleshoot and remediate issues across multi-vendor estates including Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and Meraki.
• Maintain MPLS networks, routing, switching, and wireless connectivity.
• Coordinate with customers, internal desks, and external carriers during incident resolution.
• Support planned upgrades, migrations, and configuration changes across client estates.
• Participate in out-of-hours maintenance and incident response as required by SLAs.
• Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and runbooks.
