Job summary

E-ACT is seeking a Senior Hub IT Technician to join North Birmingham Academy (with visits to Nechells Primary). You will provide proactive ICT support across the Academy, help maintain reliable systems and act as a senior escalation point for service issues.

Working with the Hub ICT Business Partner, you will manage the ICT Helpdesk, monitor security, and contribute to continuous improvements in technology services across the academy network.

Qualifications

• 5 x GCSEs including Maths and English grade 4-9 or equivalent.
• Relevant ICT qualifications or equivalent demonstrable ICT technical support experience.
• Ability to understand a range of organisational and technical procedures and the ability to disseminate to other staff.
• Ability to organise and prioritise own workload and work to deadlines especially during periods of pressure.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent performance of ICT systems across our academies, providing reliable support and maintenance.
• Act as the senior point of escalation within the academy for any Service Issues
• Operate the Academy ICT Helpdesk effectively, logging and resolving helpdesk calls within agreed service levels
• Monitor security aspects and promptly address anomalies, reporting concerns to the Hub ICT Business Partner.
