Ridgeway Academy is seeking a Senior IT Technician to join the ICT team, providing 1st and 2nd line support to staff and students, and ensuring secure operation of IT services across the school.

Based at Ridgeway Academy within Ambition Education Trust, the role offers full-time hours and year-round employment, with a focus on device management, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Windows environments and safeguarding responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Windows 11 and Windows Server environments.
• Google Workspace for Education and Chromebook/ChromeOS administration.
• Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Group Policy.
• SCCM/Endpoint Configuration Manager and/or Intune.
• Managed network infrastructure, including switches, wireless, VLANs and TCP/IP.
• Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
• Printing, classroom technology and associated IT services.
• Cyber security principles, including MFA, endpoint protection, patching and access control.
• IT support/helpdesk processes and effective fault diagnosis.
• Safeguarding responsibilities relating to school IT systems, includingfiltering and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to staff and students.
• Maintain devices, user accounts, printing, and classroom technology.
• Support network infrastructure and Trust IT systems across the school.
• Collaborate with ICT team and Trust-wide projects.
