Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Cable System Engineer to support high-profile Power & Energy projects in the UK. Responsibilities include leading HV/EHV cabling design, providing technical guidance, and preparing tender and route specifications for HV cables across multiple projects.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Power Engineering and substantial experience in the energy sector, with computer-aided design tools such as CYMCAP. Hybrid working arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Power Engineering is required.
• Experience in energy sector consultancy or utility is required.
• Extensive HV/EHV cable design experience across FEED and detailed design stages.
• Proven ability to lead HV/EHV cable design efforts on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop HV/EHV cabling system specifications, design reviews, and estimations.
• Provide technical support on HV cable systems and design.
• Prepare technical specs, route specs, tender specs, and progress reports.
• Ensure design compliance with CDM regs and company procedures.
