Job summary

The Ridings Medical Group in the East Riding of Yorkshire is seeking a Senior HR Manager to shape workforce strategy across clinical and administrative teams, ensuring compliant governance and proactive people leadership.

You will lead HR operations, policy development, and staff welfare, with visa sponsorship eligibility and a focus on partnership with senior leadership to balance strategic and hands-on delivery.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 7 (preferred) or equivalent HR qualification.
• Masters degree in HR or Healthcare Management.
• Conflict resolution: manage complex conflicts, grievances, and disciplinaries.
• Strategic horizon scanning: manage statutory, regulatory and NHS changes.
• Risk management: assess organisational and legal risks and take decisive action.
• Experience with medical staff/partner dynamics in primary care.
• Analytical IT skills: spreadsheets, databases and API tools.
• Collaborative and empathetic leadership, empowering teams.
• Calm, methodical leadership under pressure with attention to detail.
• Pragmatic leadership to align policy with practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage HR functions across resources (people, finance, estates) with staff wellbeing focus.
• Human Resources Oversight: recruit, onboarding, governance checks and staff administration.
• HSR Activities for OPL Enterprises: policy development, visa sponsorship, apprenticeship levies, PDPs.
