Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is recruiting a HR Advisory Team & Policy Lead to lead a team of HR advisors, provide expert casework guidance and shape policy using data insights. The role combines leadership, policy development, and cross-functional collaboration across payroll and recruitment to support robust, future-ready HR services.

The successful candidate will manage a small team, influence policy decisions, and contribute to the HR workforce dashboard with a focus on impact across services.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior HR casework and complex queries.
• Proven line management and coaching of a small team.
• Ability to analyse data to inform policy decisions and workforce dashboards.
• Experience collaborating across HR functions (payroll, recruitment).
