The Regional Hyperacute Rehabilitation Unit (RHRU) is the hub of the North West regional rehabilitation service network and acts as a central focus for research and training of all rehabilitation professions. RHRU is one of 8 specialist units forming level 1 specialist services within the NHS London. The Regional Rehabilitation Unit is a growing 24‑bed inpatient neurological unit offering intensive multi‑disciplinary neuro‑rehabilitation to adults with severe and complex cognitive, communicative and physical difficulties, due to traumatic brain injury, CVA or other neurological conditions.
You could be working as part of a highly skilled multi‑disciplinary team specialising in Neuro‑Rehabilitation and Hyper‑Acute Neuro care. You will provide holistic, patient‑centred, goal‑focused rehabilitation to patients with a variety of neurological conditions within a specialist team (Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, Social Services, Dietitian and Rehabilitation Consultant) committed to delivering quality patient care with a strong focus on staff development and clinical supervision.
The Health Care Assistant (Band 3) is the second step on the skills escalator of unregistered practitioners. This level of practitioner will have extensive experience at HCA Band 2 with an appreciation and knowledge of the unit procedures, competencies, and be able to organise day to day activities/interventions based on an agreed allocated work plan.
