Job summary

Knights Construction Group in the UK is seeking a Senior Foreman / Ganger to lead groundworks and concrete operations on site. You will organise labour, manage plant and materials, and ensure tasks run safely and to specification.

The role requires strong supervision, ability to read drawings, plan pours and coordinate subcontractors. You should be willing to travel nationwide and work away from home, with a provided work vehicle on some projects.

Qualifications

• Strong groundworks experience including civil/structural elements.
• Supervisory experience leading a team on site.
• Ability to read construction drawings and understand levels.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and work away from home.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise groundworks teams across concrete, drainage, foundations, slabs and external works.
• Organise concrete pours: prep, sequencing, labour, plant and access.
• Plan day-to-day site activities to ensure safe, efficient progress.
• Ensure works areas are prepared and plant/equipment are available.
• Coordinate movement and use of plant and materials to meet programme.
• Read drawings, check levels, assist with setting out where needed.
• Maintain RAMS compliance and highlight safety concerns to management.
