Job summary

Pinnacle Recruitment seeks a Foreman / General Foreman to work for a major civil contractor across the UK, focusing on highways, structures, bulk earthworks and remediation on prestigious infrastructure schemes.

You will coordinate day-to-day site operations, manage resources, monitor progress, plan activities with the project manager and construction manager, and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and SHEQ. UK Nationals with security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Ideally NVQ Level 3 education and supervisory level experience.
• Experience working on large projects.
• Knowledge of traditional construction activities is essential.

Job description

We are currently seeking a Foreman / General Foreman to work for a major Civil Contractor who works across the UK specializing a variety of civil engineering sectors with a primary focus on a civil highways,structures / bulk earthworks / remediation packages on very prestigious infrastructure scheme

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the day to day operations of the site
• Ensure adherence to relevant policies and procedures
• Control and monitor all activities on site
• Support the achievement of perfect delivery
• Ensure the daily programming of all site works is performed in accordance with the company construction program
• In conjunction with the project manager, site engineer and construction manager plan and review overall status of project(s) on an ongoing basis
• Ensure all site resource (labour, machinery, materials, sub-contractors etc) are effectively utilised and monitored in order to achieve timely completion of projects
• Identify and record any possible variations to the contract, ensuring the project manager / construction manager is promptly notified
• Ensure that all statutory requirements are adhered to on site at all times
• Make a deliberate effort to gain a full understanding and working knowledge of the Company's SHEQ policies and procedures, ensuring all site personnel adhere to them at all times.
• Ensure the appropriate safety equipment is worn by site personnel at all times
• Ensure that all requests to perform unsafe work practices that may result in damage to machinery, people or property are declined
• Ensure all the applicable quality checklists are properly completed
• As an experienced foreman you will ideally be educated to NVQ Level 3, you will have experience working on large projects and have previous experience at supervisory level. Knowledge of traditional construction activities is essential.
