Job summary

RTL Group Ltd in Hull is seeking an experienced Working Groundworks Foreman to lead a gang on site and supervise daily operations. You will coordinate drainage, foundations and general groundworks while ensuring work is carried out to high standards.

This hands-on role requires reading drawings, setting levels, coordinating labour and maintaining strong health and safety practices on busy sites around Hull and the surrounding area.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Groundworks Foreman or Senior Groundworker.
• Strong practical knowledge of drainage, foundations, concrete works and general groundworks.
• Experience leading and motivating a groundworks gang.
• Ability to read drawings and set out levels to specification.
• Hands-on approach and willingness to work on site with the team.
• Good leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• CSCS card and relevant plant or supervisory tickets.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a gang of groundworkers on site.
• Work hands-on alongside the team when required.
• Manage day-to-day site operations and allocate workloads.
• Oversee drainage, foundations, concrete works, kerbing and paving.
• Read drawings and site plans; check levels and set out.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and deliveries.
• Ensure work follows specifications, programmes and health and safety procedures.
• Liaise with site managers, engineers and subcontractors.
• Identify and resolve site issues to minimise delays.
