Job summary
AtkinsRéalis in Scotland seeks an experienced Chief Geotechnical Engineer to lead complex ground engineering projects across the UK. You will drive technical delivery, support business development, and mentor a team of engineers and geologists in a collaborative, high‑performing environment.
Based in Glasgow or Edinburgh, you’ll contribute to major infrastructure programs and international opportunities. A MSc/PhD and Chartered status are preferred, with a strong track record in onshore/offshore
Qualifications
- Strong leadership in geotechnical engineering projects
- Experience delivering major infrastructure projects in the UK
- Ability to coordinate design and build strong client/contractor relationships
- Experience providing design reviews and ensuring right-first-time delivery
- Experience in bid reviews and supporting business development
Responsibilities
- Lead complex geotechnical projects and mentor team members
- Provide design reviews and ensure quality in delivery
- Support bid proposals and client engagement for new work
- Coordinate design across onshore renewables, road and rail projects
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-value projects
