Job summary

EY is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Developer to join our AI practice across EY's UK offices. You will design and implement AI agents and automation tools, collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical specs.

You will build and orchestrate LLM agents, integrate tools via APIs, and develop cloud-native solutions on Azure and AWS while adhering to AI risk and security guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an AI developer or similar role with a portfolio of projects.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of Git and version control.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
• Experience with Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.
• Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse).
• Basic understanding of cloud computing and SaaS/PaaS/IaaS.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and their AI offerings.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Excellent communication to convey complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI agents and automation tools to solve complex problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specs.
• Build and orchestrate LLM agents, including prompts, grounding and retrieval.
• Test and evaluate agent behaviour and outputs.
• Integrate AI tools with enterprise systems via APIs (Graph, REST, SQL, SharePoint).
• Develop cloud-native skills on Azure and AWS and leverage AI services.
• Support full delivery lifecycle from design to production.
• Triage defects and support live products.
• Follow AI risk, security, data loss prevention and licensing guardrails.
• Document code and processes for maintainability.
