Job summary

EY is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Developer to join our team in the UK, delivering AI agents and automation tools that shape business processes across our enterprise clients.

You will design, develop, test, and deploy AI-powered solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams and maintaining modern software practices on Azure and AWS. Stay ahead of advances in AI and ensure reliable, scalable delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an AI developer or similar role with portfolio.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of Git and version control.
• Good understanding of algorithms, data structures and software design principles.
• Familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, and SQL.
• Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse).
• Basic understanding of cloud computing and SaaS/PaaS/IaaS.
• Knowledge of cloud AI services and platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication to convey complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI agents and automation tools to solve complex business problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical specs.
• Build and orchestrate LLM agents, including prompts and retrieval, and structured outputs.
• Test and evaluate agent behavior including uncertainty handling.
• Develop cloud-native solutions on Azure and AWS.
• Support full delivery lifecycle from design to production.
• Triage defects and support live products with real users.
• Adhere to enterprise guardrails including AI risk assessment and data security.
