Job summary

Samworth Brothers Limited is seeking a Senior Category Manager to shape category strategy and drive growth with major UK retailers. You will report to the Head of Category & Marketing and lead the development and delivery of customer category plans and insight-led recommendations.

You will collaborate with Commercial, NPD and Insight teams, coaching Category Managers to build capability and influence strategic decisions that benefit customers and the business.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in FMCG category management at managerial level.
• Experience using market data sources (EPOS, Kantar, Dunnhumby) and retailer insights.
• Strong leadership and coaching capabilities with senior stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of category plans and customer growth strategies using market and shopper insights.
• Deliver category reviews and recommendations to major UK retailers.
• Drive category input into NPD and Stage Gate processes.
• Coach and develop Category Managers and Executives to build capability.
• Provide strategic category leadership through data analysis and retailer understanding.
