Walkers Deli & Sausage Co (WDSCo), part of Samworth Brothers Group, seeks a Senior Category Manager to shape category strategy and drive growth across major UK retailers. You will lead category plans, deliver insights-led recommendations, and collaborate with NPD, Insight and Business Leadership teams.

Reporting to the Head of Category & Marketing, you will coach Category Managers and Executives, develop talent, and influence strategic decisions that benefit customers and the business.

• Significant Category Management experience within an FMCG environment at Manager level.
• Strong experience using market and consumer insight data including EPOS, Kantar, Dunnhumby.
• Experience working with major UK retailers and building influential customer relationships.
• Proven people leadership experience developing Category Managers and Executives.
• Excellent presentation, communication and commercial influencing skills.

About The RoleWalkers Deli & Sausage Co (WDSCo), part of the Samworth Brothers Group, is a highly successful and growing food manufacturing business with a heritage dating back to the 1820s. Supplying many of the UK's leading retailers across categories including premium sausages, cooked meats, BBQ, pâté, protein snacking and ready meals, we continue to invest in our future growth and innovation. This Senior Category Manager position is a key leadership role within our Commercial function, helping shape category strategy and drive growth across major retail customers. Reporting to the Head of Category & Marketing, you will lead the development and delivery of category strategies, customer category plans and insight-led recommendations. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across Commercial, NPD, Insight and Business Leadership teams while coaching and developing category talent within the business. This is an opportunity to become a recognised category expert both internally and externally, influencing strategic decisions that deliver growth for customers and the business.
