Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Principal-level flood risk and water resources specialist in the UK. Based from multiple offices (Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, Bristol or Cardiff) you will lead teams, shape strategy, and deliver climate-resilient water management solutions across FEH, hydrology, SuDS and planning support.

You will mentor staff, drive quality assurance, support business development and contribute to the future direction of our water environment capability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science or related field.
• Chartered with CIWEM or ICE or actively working toward chartered status.
• Significant experience leading water environment projects and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior colleagues, lead QA processes and contribute to business development.
• Lead projects delivering flood risk assessments, modelling and drainage design.
• Produce high‑quality technical reports for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Liaise with Environment Agencies, LLFAs, water companies and other stakeholders.
