Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Hydrologist to join our Water Environment Team across the UK. Based in Leeds, Newcastle, Edinburgh or Glasgow, you will lead complex flood risk and drainage projects, mentor colleagues, and shape our growing capability.

You will work across flood risk appraisal, hydraulic modelling, hydrology, SuDS design and development planning, engaging with LLFAs and water companies. You’ll bring Chartered or progressing towards CIWEM/ICE, strong leadership, and the ability to

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Chartered or working towards CIWEM, ICE or similar body.

• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to quality assurance processes.
• Support business development and shape the future direction of flood risk capability.
• Write high-quality technical reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
