Job summary

A leading engineering and professional services firm seeks an Associate Fire Engineer to work on diverse projects, from universities to high-rise towers. The role entails liaising with various disciplines, presenting designs, and ensuring fire safety compliance. Role

Associate Fire Engineer. You’ll typically work on a variety of projects at once—from a university in Scotland to a high-rise residential tower in London—with international exposure. The aim is to enable innovative architectural design without compromising fire safety.

Responsibilities
  • Review design information and liaise with other WSP disciplines (Facades, Acoustics, Structures).
  • Present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service.
  • Inform the design team about changes to increase building safety.
  • Be guided through software packages, fire standards, team briefings and client updates from the start.
  • Support professional registration via IFE and other professional bodies.
Qualifications
  • BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience within the fire engineering consulting industry.
  • Role based from any of our UK major offices.
