Location: Bootle, Cheltenham, or London

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (24 months)

Salary: £46,513 - £56,174 (plus £4,194 London Weighting allowance if applicable)

What You'll Do

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in leading key financial deliverables and collaborating with various stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Deliverables: Oversee finance elements of the Synergy programme, ensuring effective planning and communication with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
  • Reviewing Processes: Analyse Synergy product returns for consistency and completeness, highlighting critical differences in policies or processes.
  • Gap Analysis: Examine current processes to identify necessary changes for alignment with the new system.
  • Interdependencies: Map interdependencies between different workstreams to ensure comprehensive understanding across the organisation.
  • Workshops Participation: Attend Synergy workshops as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Support BAU Activities: Provide valuable assistance to Finance and Procurement on daily operations.

We need a proactive communicator who can thrive both in teams and independently. Your qualifications should include:

  • Full professional accountancy qualification (CCAB, CIMA, or equivalent) or currently working towards one.
  • Proven ability to analyse complex financial information and present it clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality outputs and services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead projects.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.
  • Proficiency in common Microsoft Office packages.
