Job description

Fulwell is seeking a detail oriented and commercial Financial Accountant to support our UK and US Finance team.

The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and technical skills, along with a deep understanding of financial management, controls, and processes.

About Us

Fulwell Entertainment is a global entertainment company built from the merger of The SpringHill Company and Fulwell 73. We develop and produce premium content across television, film, digital, audio, and branded entertainment with one mission: to make things people love. Our work spans culture-defining series, groundbreaking documentaries, live events, and platform-shaping formats—all rooted in the belief that great storytelling earns attention, drives impact, and lives everywhere audiences do.

Recent projects include Mind the Game with LeBron James and Steve Nash, The Kardashians (Hulu), Emmy-winning The Shop, Starting 5 (Netflix), Delta’s 100th Anniversary at The Sphere, The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl (Disney), Plastic Surgery Rewind (E! and Peacock), Top Boy (Netflix), Hustle (Netflix), and the LA 2028 Olympics handover ceremony featuring Tom Cruise. Fulwell is the right place if you’re ready to work hard on ambitious, creatively driven projects and want to grow in an environment that’s adapting with the industry—not chasing it. This is a company for people who like to be in it—hands on, sleeves rolled, and all the way engaged.

Core Behaviours
  • Make Things That People Love (And We Love to Make): Everything we do - on and off screen - should express the pride we take in our work and the respect we have for ourselves, our partners, our audiences, and our clients.
  • Be Intentionally Curious: Push boundaries, challenge historic thinking, and incorporate approaches from different industries, geographies, and eras. Venture into your unknown to discover and develop better practices.
  • Strive For Creative Excellence: Share your knowledge and resources generously. Celebrate successes and acknowledge failures as a team. Raise your hand when you're stuck or make a mistake.
  • Practice Active Inclusion: Welcome differences and honor the unique narrative of each person and community. Foster a company where cultures are celebrated and perspectives are broadened.
About This Role

Success in this role requires strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, provide thoughtful employee support, and design programs that align with Fulwell’s mission while strengthening morale and team culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support all UK accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across all reporting cycles.
  • Play a key role in managing the UK and US year-end close, consolidation, audit, and tax compliance processes.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Oversee the monthly and quarterly close, ensuring accurate reconciliations and completion of key accruals and adjustments.
  • Support financial administration, including entity management, bank account oversight, and internal control processes.
  • Partner with the US Finance team to align global accounting policies, intercompany transactions, and shared reporting standards across transatlantic operations.
  • Collaborate on cross-border cash flow management, budgeting, and financial planning to maintain consistency and transparency.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows, enhance accuracy, and strengthen internal controls.
  • Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as required.
Interim Specific Requirements
  • 12-month fixed term contract.
  • Support Interim Head of Finance in day-to-day activities.
  • Play a key role in preparing for and managing the UK & US Audit and supporting the year end close.
  • Support the documentation of financial processes and controls post-merger.
  • System integration support (Netsuite).
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Qualified accountant (ACA).
  • 1-2 years post-qualification, experience preferably in Media, TV/film production or Entertainment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and local UK reporting standards.
  • Experience in accounting for multi-entity and multi-currency financial operations.
  • Proven track record in month end and year end close, consolidations, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit.
  • Skilled in financial systems and ERPs (e.g., NetSuite, Sage or equivalent).
  • Clear, confident communicator who is able to collaborate effectively across UK and US teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
