Job summary

Penguin Random House UK is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join the Transformation team in London on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. The role supports the File Management project to move from shared drives to Microsoft 365 and Box, defining future ways of working and migration plans.

You’ll lead discovery, analyse file structures, and collaborate with Technology and Delivery teams to ensure a smooth migration and adoption of new practices.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Business Analyst or in a comparable analytical/change role.
• Strong data analysis and structured problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading business process discovery and analysis across teams.
• Experience planning and facilitating workshops and stakeholder interviews.
• Ability to map and document current and future processes.

Responsibilities

• Analysing file storage data to understand volumes, usage, age and duplication.
• Leading discovery with teams through workshops and interviews.
• Identifying opportunities to simplify file management and improve access.
• Investigating dependencies that may affect migration with Technology teams.
• Defining practical future file structures, permissions and sharing rules.
• Translating findings into recommendations and migration plans.
• Producing evidence-based analysis for prioritisation and rollout.
